Enjoy Life

El día que tomé estas fotos fue la primera vez que vi a Stef. Cada vez que he venido al río después, la he visto a ella y a su perro, Adi, allí. Me atrajo la paz que existía en su rostro. El río estaba lleno de gente más joven tocando música y pasando un buen rato, y ella se sentó en medio de todo con una sonrisa en su rostro. Para mi sorpresa, había perdido a su madre hacía solo dos meses; era algo que sabía que pasaría durante años. Hablamos sobre las increíbles relaciones que podemos tener con una madre.

 

"No no nos prepara para la muerte". 

Todo su lema de por vida era disfrutarlo. 

"Tienes que aprender de eso". 

Ella ama su vida porque eligió vivir su vida de la manera que quiere. 

The day I took these pictures was the first time I saw Estef.  Every time I have come to the river after, I have seen her and her dog, Adi, there.  I was drawn to her by the peace that existed in her face.  The river was filled with younger people playing music and having a good time, and she sat in the middle of it all with a smile on her face.  To my surprise, she had lost her mom only two months ago; it was something she knew would happen for years.  We talked about the incredible relationships we can have with a mother.  

“No no nos prepara for la muerte.”

Her entire motto for life was to enjoy it.  

“You have to learn from it.”  

She loves her life because she chose to live her life the way she wants.
